I Love Animals and Me by Laura Lynn Doyle is a beautifully written, vibrant and imaginative children’s story. It is a delightful and charming book that brings light and positivity for all to enjoy and encourages us to appreciate and have a love for all of the many kinds of animals put here on Earth. It also teaches the importance of loving yourself and each other! I read this lovely story to my 4 and 5 year olds and they enjoyed every turn of each fun, brilliant and educational page. My daughter’s favorite page was the bright and wonderful frogs, so fun! We also loved the fact that the book named so many different kinds of animals and species, with so many new ones to learn about too!
I Love Animals and Me is now a great favorite in our house with its multicolored eye-catching illustrations and its cute sing-song rhymes. The drawings are very unique and I appreciated the textured, overlapping collage look of each page, and we were all dazzled by how each one is so artistic and special! A perfect and clever way to hold a captive audience, especially for children.
We enjoyed it thoroughly and afterwards my girls wanted me to read it again and again! Then, they were skipping through the pages all on their own looking at all the pictures and illustrations of the animals. Their little minds and hearts were touched while taking it all in. One of my favorite things about Laura Lynn Doyle’s books is the love and positivity she radiates through her words, message and delightful illustrations – and I Love Animals and Me is no exception, as love and positivity shine through so bright and boldly! Definitely a book to love and cherish for all ages alike! An excellent reminder of how extraordinary and remarkable all of Mother Earth’s creatures are on our amazing planet.
